Biography: Dr. Fiona Travis
Dr. Fiona Travis is a psychologist in private practice for 35 years. She was a pioneer in the body/mind connection and an Adjunct Professor of Somatics in the Graduate School of The Ohio State University. Having presented workshops for the American Psychological Association throughout the United States, Mexico and Canada, and in private practice, for her clients, she is known for bringing fun and joy into her workshops on a variety of topics always using experiential body work to help gain insight and understanding. She is the author of many articles about the body/mind connection, two books on marital relationships, and the co-author with her son, Dr. Craig Travis, of a CD set called Letting Go, combining relaxation techniques and positive psychology. Dr. Travis' life work falls under the category of Somatic Psychology.
Biography: Dr. Germayne B. Tizzano
For more than 25 years, Dr. Germayne Tizzano, owner and founder of Views From a Tree House, Inc., has presented nationally and internationally on trauma, drug and alcohol addiction, sexuality and sexual health, body image, and mental health, in over 400 educational programs for health care professionals and university students. Her work spans a wide range of venues from women's addiction and recovery centers to community correction facilities for women, to HIV outreach programs, to American Indian Affairs to World Association for Sexual Health, Gothenburg, Sweden
